TO YOUR BRIDAL TRIAL

In preparation of your bridal trial please take a few minutes to read the notes and fill out the form.

Hair & Makeup trials can take up to 3 hours depending on the style and are conducted from my home studio in Newport.

Hair or Makeup trials are approximately 90mins. For an opportunity to connect one-on-one I request that my brides come alone however if you need a support person please let me know.

HAIR

  • A picture is worth a thousand words therefore having 1-2 reference images helps me understand your style. I always suggest finding reference images where the model has similar features to your own e.g hair length and colour. When it comes to selecting a style, I always recommend looking like you - on your best day.

  • The night before your appointment shampoo your hair twice and then condition mid lengths to ends. No hair masks or treatments the night before. A salon quality shampoo and conditioner helps with the longevity of your style so I highly recommend using this.

  • Blow dry hair smooth and leave product free. You can use a small amount of heat protector in the ends if required. Please do not apply hair oil, leave in treatments or use straightener. Dyson Airwrap or similar is fine to use.

  • If you plan to use extensions, please ensure they are clean and dry. I only work with 5-9 piece and volumisers - Not halo’s. Please reach out if you don’t know where to start, I’m happy to guide you.

  • Hair must be 100% dry for your trial unless otherwise discussed.

  • If you have fine hair, prone to getting oily or limp, please wash and dry your hair the morning of your booking.

  • Please wear a shirt or open neck top so I can access the nape of the neck. A light colour similar to your wedding dress is ideal.

MAKEUP

  • Arrive with a freshly cleansed face and apply your usual skin care. This will be removed prior to makeup application.

  • If you are allergic or sensitive to makeup or skincare products, feel free to bring your own and can use them if required.

  • If you have a preferred lip colour please bring this to the trial.

  • Lash lifts are not recommended and lash extensions are fine however on the wedding day, mascara will be applied lightly to ensure the lashes remain dark.

  • Please wear a shirt or open neck top so I can clearly reference the colour of your neck and décolletage. A light colour similar to your wedding dress is ideal.
